KingOfPeace Books – Author Terms & Rules

These Terms & Rules govern how authors publish, sell, and earn from books on KingOfPeace Books ("the Platform"). By publishing on this platform, the author agrees to all terms below.
1. Ownership & Rights
- Authors retain 100% ownership of their work.
- KingOfPeace Books does not claim copyright over any book.
- Authors grant KingOfPeace Books a non‑exclusive license to host, display, market, and sell their book on the platform.
- Authors are free to sell their book elsewhere unless they opt into an exclusive agreement (optional).
2. Content Responsibility
Authors are fully responsible for the content they upload. Books must not:
- Promote violence, hate, or illegal activity
- Contain plagiarism or stolen content
- Violate copyright, privacy, or intellectual‑property laws
KingOfPeace Books reserves the right to remove or suspend content that violates these rules.
3. Publishing Process
Authors must provide:
- Final edited manuscript (PDF / approved format)
- Book title, description, and author name
- Cover image meeting platform standards
Once approved, the book will be published and visible to readers. Approval time: 24–72 hours.
4. Pricing & Sales
- Authors set their own book price.
- All prices are displayed in GHS (with future multi‑currency support).
- Discount campaigns may be offered with author consent.
5. Revenue & Payments
Revenue is shared as follows:
- Author: 70%
- KingOfPeace Books: 30% (platform, marketing, hosting, payment fees)
- Payments are processed via Paystack or approved local payment systems.
- Minimum withdrawal threshold: GHS 50.
- Payout schedule: Weekly or Monthly (author choice).
6. Audiobooks (Optional)
- Authors may upload their own audiobook OR
- Opt into KingOfPeace Books audiobook production (revenue split may differ).
- Audiobooks follow the same ownership rules as ebooks.
7. Marketing & Promotion
- KingOfPeace Books may feature books on the homepage and promote on social/email.
- Authors are encouraged to market their books independently.
- No guaranteed sales are promised.
8. Account Suspension & Termination
- Accounts may be suspended for violations, fraudulent/illegal content, or payment fraud.
- Authors may request account deletion at any time.
- Existing customer purchases will remain accessible.
9. Platform Integrity
- No fake reviews or rating manipulation.
- No abuse of platform systems.
- Violations may result in permanent ban.
10. Changes to Terms
KingOfPeace Books may update these terms. Authors will be notified of major changes.
